This week's quote is meant to inspire you to not be discouraged about where life has placed you right now, in this exact moment. No matter where you find yourself today, you must have faith that you are where you are for a much larger purpose. Be optimistic about tomorrow, because everyone has a destiny and a path. You are in the now to prepare for what's to come tomorrow.
There have been so many times in my life when all of a sudden I have a moment of epiphany. I become overwhelmed by a feeling of disappointment. I think to myself and ask, "what am I doing here?"..."why is this happening to me?"..."why now?". It is not until I stop to take a few deep breathes and relax my mind, that I begin to realize that everything is exactly how it's supposed to be at that given moment. Even though it may not be where I desire to be or how I want things to be, I understand that the events leading up to where I want to be must occur in order for me to actually get there.
These past few weeks have been marked by brutal and intense challenges for my husband and myself. It has also brought upon us an abrupt change in our everyday life routine. It seems like no matter how positive you try to maintain your life, the negativity still creeps it's way in. When life throws certain situations at you, it's naturally human to step out of the bubble of positivity for a while. Especially when that situation is something that jeopardizes the safety of your family. I don't wish to go into details about the events that my family have had to experience this past week but, instead I want to focus my energy on being optimistic and grateful.
Despite the negative events, there were many joyous and gratifying moments that occurred these past few weeks. I have begun my journey in a career I never expected to enter at this time in my life. With the start of a new full-time job, I had to place my daughter in a daycare center, where she is learning so much every single day. My daughter turned one year old. She finally let go of her fears and began walking on her own without any support. Not to mention, she learned two new words! Yes, all that in the span of just one week! How can I ever maintain a feeling of desperation and fear when I hear my daughter say the word "a-p-p-l-e-!" or "n-a-n-a!" (for banana), or watch her walk across the living room while smiling in excitement. Even if it's just for a second, in that moment, I can't help but to forget all the negative emotions I was feeling and just be overcome with feelings of joy, gratitude, and optimism.
Today, I challenge you to put all your negative emotions and thoughts aside and replace them with good and happy thoughts. Know that you have a bigger purpose in life and no matter what life throws at you along the way, it's just a part of the journey. You have the power to turn all your hardships into a ladder leading up to your goal. You have the power to not allow it to defeat you but, make it a part of the finer person you will become in the future!
